Option #1-This is a man's shirt of which I have just enough fabric to eek out the sashing.
Option#2- This black has shamrocks on it, but I used the same fabric in last years Shamrock quilt. I think I'm leaning towards this one anyway.
Option #3- a simple WOW, which looks pretty lackluster compared to the other two options. I think if I used green cornerstones it could work. For that matter, any of the options would look OK with green cornerstones.
I think I'm having a hard time with one because the quilt will either be raffled or given away as a prize. I don't know who will end with it, or by which method. It's easier for me to make a quilt if I know something about the recipient, but on a chance thing like this, it's a toss up. I've also been pretty stressed out over some issues, so making decisions is not easy these days.
So, here is the million dollar question... Which option is best and should I use green cornerstones?

What about a light setting strip and an orange setting sq.- That would kinda pop Irish.
Even better would be add the star points to the strip and create little stars in the sash.- just a thought if you have time.

Oooh, definitely #2. If makes the colors in the quilt "pop."
FWIW, I like number 2 the best.
I like the dark green best as it brings out all the bright greens in the blocks.
The dark green fits with the rest of the quilt better.
I like the man's shirt for the sashing, bt think a strong finishing border of the black with the shamrocks. But whichever one you choose, It looks great already.

Have you tried a BLACK sashing with green cornerstones?? you may be surprised at how good the black looks (it really seems to make other colors POP!)
BUT, if you dont want to try black - i like the DARK GREEN.

No right answer here, of course, but in my humble opinion, I like the darker green. It seems to bring depth to all the other wonderful shades you've used. Can't wait to see what you decide!

I also like #2 the best but I am sure whoever gets the quilt will love it no matter which fabric you choose. Pat L in NY
