Here is the sea quilt, completely finished and bound! I did an allover meander on it, yes even over all the sea critters. After all, if you are looking at the animals through water, you would have distortion anyway. My real reasoning for the allover meander is that I think it will hold up in the wash better and being that this is for a 6 year old, I'm sure it will have several washings.
Here is a close up of my jellyfish.
Octopus anyone?
This is my food chain element. The angler fish luring in the little striped fish with her glowing ball. It's a 'Come towards the light so I can eat you', type of thing.
I love this fabric for the starfish. The variegated thread was a plus, I didn't know I had that color, it came in a sampler pack. I just had to have the starfish go into the border, as a whimsical touch.
I am so happy to have this quilt finished. My plan for the next couple weeks is to see how many quilt tops I can get quilted. I might just have a quilting spree until the end of October. I'm sure I'll work on some piecing too, but only on quilts that have already been started. I really want to make a dent in this pile of quilt tops I've accumulated before I start on all the
grandbaby quilts.

This is too cute Melodie. Very creative and I really love the thread used on the star fish. Wonderful.
WOW! Twins... how exciting. (And, think sleep deprived too!) Being a grandmother for 7 weeks now, I can say it is wonderful. I just hope you live some what close. I'm hoping to see my little girl every month for a day or so if I am lucky.
I've already gone wild with knitting. I'm on my second little sweater although this one will be more for spring. Congratulations!
