Blog giveaway

I had every intention of doing a blog giveaway to celebrate my 100th post. Life, being unpredictable, got in the way and when I posted my 100th post I was frantically getting ready for an unscheduled trip to South Africa to help DD#1 with DGS#1. Now that I am back, I decided to do a little combining of celebrations. I bought quarter meters of these four fabrics in SA. The fabrics are 100% cotton, and about a yard selvage to selvage. Two of these are blue, two brown. Since my first grandchild is half South African, I figured this would be a fun giveaway. I have already washed these, as well as ironed them, so they are ready to go.

This is a pic of the fronts of the fabrics.

This is a pic of the back. I think the fact that they are printed with this stamp type design is very cool. All four of the fabrics have this on the back.

Here is a close up of the back design.

OK, for a chance at winning, just leave a comment on this post, making sure you give me some way of contacting you, like an email address or a link to your blog if you have one. I'll draw a winner on Wednesday at noon Arizona time. If I an unable to contact the winner by Saturday, I will draw another name the next Sunday at noon. Good luck to all!

The brown/gold swirled circles is beautiful! I also like the one that looks like sunflowers. Fabric from other countries is a great idea!

By the way, as I'm in Kansas City, Missouri, who is Darryl, your Chiefs fan? Grin.

Thanks for the opportunity,

Those are really neat fabrics, Melodie. I would love to add something like that to my collection of fabrics from other countries. You're very lucky you were able to travel and shop in another country. And just think--with a grandson over there, you'll have to travel often!

Congratulations on the addition to your family,(although far away, the internet will keep them close) from a fellow South African now living in the Dominican Republic. As a newbie to quilting (only 1 year now) a bit of fabric from home would be great especially as I am really trying to build up a good supply of quality and varied fabric. Thank you for the opportunity.

P.s. have a business mail address in Miami so shipping would be local.

Melodie, You're in my favorite part of the world now...only been there when driving a truck cross country...can't imagine going out of the country other than Canada. You are so fortunate. You have a wonderful blog...I hope to return to it many times...you do good things here. The fabric is wonderful and would love to share in it, but really enjoyed the visit anyway.

Those fabrics are really wonderful. Sounds like you had a good trip. It is always fun to see your children. : ) I have two who have moved on their own and they don't live as close to home as I'd like. I haven't yet retired from homeschooling.
